Research and planning - RECCE CHECK

these photos are images and screen shots from the settings of our film.
for the film there are 4 basic settings that are involved:

- blogging , anywhere (probably bedroom)

-The girls’ bedroom

-A transitional stage -The field/beach naturalistic setting that the hippies are in

-Returning home scene, street/home setting

Girls bedroom- I want this scene to reflect the two girls characters and the binary opposites that they represent, using mise en scene might be a nice way of doing this panning across the bedroom half of which is decorated elaborately in the style of the ‘free’ sister character and bed is split down the middle to the girls side that is full of wires etc.

The setting I found for this is in my house there is a bed in the front window flanked by a wardrobe and a set of draws this will be perfect as in is relatively symmetrical and can be decorated easily .

Transitional stage we are going to use fade to black and a short animated section .

Research and Planning - RISK ASSESSMENT

POTENTIAL RISKS & CONTROLS 1.Tripping over lighting wires - Make sure wires are out the way of acting space. 2.Slipping on wet surfaces in the bathroom. - Make sure the floor is dry before filming. 3.Water near the electronic devices - Keep the equipment away from any water. 4.Slipping on mud in outdoors scenes - Try filming on dry ground, make sure people go steady. 5.Getting burnt on the campfire - Keep a safe distance from the fire.

Research and planning - FILM POSTER PLANNING

for the title of the film we chose 1970 as this shows the time set of the film, but with the font of an digital clock as this also connotes modern day and time. the contenders are: INSPIRATIONAL FILM POSTERS the film back to the future uses time travel which resembles elements of my film plan, when the girl travels back in time, i like the use of the dark undeveloped background which gives the feeling of a black hole or transporting to a different realm. i like the thought of using a polaroid format for my film poster after looking at posters such as the film momento; i feel the polaroid format will fit well with the film as polaroid have a old vintage feel to them and were around in the 70's. i also feel that it is even connoting a momento of hannah going back in time.

Research and planning - EDITED PLOT

the narrator introduces the story via videoblog The central protagonist of this film is trapped in a cycle of technology she ‘can’t live ‘ without her phone and laptop and spends all her time inside on facebook and twitter. Her only community is the detached one of the online world. Her twin sister is the complete opposite; she loves to be outside with her friends and wants her sister to understand that it is better. she thinks that the computer makes her antisocial and traps her . One day the out going sister gets sick of her ignorant technology obsessed sister, she gets really angry and decides her sister needs to live life before thechnologies like web 2.0 were invented so she is sent back in time to 1970 and the first ever Glastonbury where a crowd of hippies show her some of the true values of community. She learns that she doesn’t need to have technology and that she misses her family the hippies get her back home via a bicycle. FREEZEFRAME

And the ‘moral’ is told by the narrator via videoblog again.
as our film focuses on social networking and how it changes peoples lives i found this picture which sums up the range of networking sites, who uses them and what for, but in a whitty format. like our film as they are taking over and and emphasises how big a role they play comparing each to a certain social group.
